In praise of the old stuff

I've watched a lot of tech come and go over the years. People jump on the bandwagon of the next, new hot thing. Then it fizzles out. If lucky, they can swing like Tarzan from vine to vine, from one technology to the next technology, carrying forward their data.

Me? I'm boring. Lazy. I don't want to port my data with every new trend.
